Veeva Vault (PDF)

To publish the e-Detailer to Veeva Vault as a PDF file (for approval), perform the first steps and proceed to the following:

1. Select Veeva Vault (PDF) on the target system selection page:

2. to your Veeva Vault account and select the environment in the pop-up that appears.

The publishing preparation page opens.

3. Select the required option:

• Publish as a new presentation to publish the e-Detailer as new to Veeva Vault.

• Update the existing presentation to upgrade the existing Veeva Vault document with the new one. This operation overwrites the target document. For this, enter the Veeva Vault document title or number in the dedicated field that appears:

  

Select the Production Proof Rendition checkbox to add the e-Detailer as a Production Proof to an existing Veeva Vault document. In this case, you can't change the metadata of the existing document. Your e-Detailer serves as a reference document. Once published, you can find your e-Detailer under the Renditions section in Veeva Vault.

4. Click NEXT.

5. Fill in the required metadata fields and click NEXT:

• The Retain Veeva Vault statuses for slides checkbox is available when you update the approved Veeva Vault document with the draft e-Detailer. The checkbox is selected by default to save the status of the approved Veeva Vault document. Deselect this checkbox to update the Veeva Vault document status.

• You can also publish the PDF file to an empty placeholder with a reference number and no content. This type of publishing is available only for placeholders of the Reference Document > Other type. For this, create the placeholder with no content in Veeva Vault and publish the e-Detailer as the update for this placeholder.

Note that the publishing flow can be restricted depending on the status of the Veeva Vault PDF file. If the status conflict occurs, contact your administrator for more details.

6. Check the publishing summary and click PUBLISH:

7. Once the publishing is complete, click Show in Veeva Vault to view the published e-Detailer in Veeva Vault (for successful publication).
